Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photography
Anya and Andrew are exactly the kind of couple I love working with. Warm, outgoing, genuinely kind — and completely unbothered about making the day all about photos. They just wanted to get on with it, enjoy every moment, and have their people around them. That’s my favourite kind of wedding to shoot.
The Trafalgar Tavern is unlike most wedding venues in London. It’s not a dedicated wedding space — it’s a proper pub and restaurant, right on the bank of the Thames in Greenwich, with all the history and character that comes with that. Old walls, interesting light, paintings on the walls. Nothing corporate about it. Upstairs is hired out privately for weddings, with a ceremony room that looks out over the river — the kind of space that has genuine atmosphere rather than the feeling of a hotel function room that could be anywhere.
The ceremony and speeches were up there, along with a private bar, and the whole floor felt full of life without ever feeling chaotic. It was coming up to summer, the light was good, and there was a live band that really got the room going.
After the formalities we headed just down the road for a few group photos with the Thames as a backdrop. Simple, relaxed, and genuinely beautiful — the kind of location that does the hard work for you.
It was one of those days that just buzzed from start to finish. If you’re planning a wedding at the Trafalgar Tavern and looking for a London & Kent wedding photographer who’ll blend in, keep things relaxed, and let the day breathe — I’d love to hear from you.
