Wedding Photography FAQ
Most couples have roughly the same questions before they book, so here they all are. If something’s missing, just get in touch.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How long have you been photographing weddings?
A: I have been capturing weddings since 2019, having had the pleasure of photographing over 300 weddings as the lead photographer in beautiful venues across Kent.
Q: What is included in your wedding photography packages?
A: I offer 3 main packages, which cater for every need plus various add ons. You can view them on my pricing page.
Q: Do you provide retouching and color correction services?
A: Yes — every image is colour-graded and edited before delivery. No filters, no heavy processing, just natural retouching that lets the moment speak for itself.
Q: What is your photography style?
A: My photography style blends documentary, candid, photojournalism, and fine art. I aim to capture events naturally without manipulating the scene, ensuring a genuine representation of your wedding day in all its beauty.
Q: Can we see a complete wedding gallery?
A: Certainly! You can explore full galleries of recent weddings in my portfolio on my website. This showcases my work and gives you insight into how I document an entire wedding day. When you enquire, I’ll send over a full gallery from a recent wedding.
Q: How many photographers will be at our wedding?
A: Most weddings are covered by one photographer; however, for larger weddings or those with multiple locations, I collaborate with a trusted network of experienced photographers for seamless coverage.
Q: Do you have insurance?
A: Yes, I carry full public liability and indemnity insurance, which many venues require. A copy of the insurance certificate is available upon request.
Q: How long does it take to receive our photos?
A: You’ll receive Instax prints on the day itself — a small selection of real printed photos to hold in your hands before the wedding’s even finished. Then within 48 hours you’ll get 10–15 carefully edited digital previews. The full gallery follows within six weeks.
Q: Should we have an engagement shoot?
A: Engagement shoots are a fantastic way for us to connect before the wedding day. They’re enjoyable, relaxed sessions that result in beautiful photos, perfect for save-the-dates or invitations.
Q: Do we need to provide a photo shot list?
A: I send an online questionnaire before the wedding to gather necessary details, including any specific group photo requests. While I capture a wide range of moments, a list for family and group shots can be helpful. A long list of hundreds is impractical, so I focus on the essentials.
Q: How far do you travel for weddings?
A: I cover weddings throughout the UK and internationally. Travel and accommodation costs are included for mainland UK weddings. For destination weddings, please contact me for a personalised quote.
Q: What equipment do you use?
A: Nikon mirrorless. I always bring backup bodies and lenses — if something goes wrong with a camera, you won’t notice.
Q: Do you provide wedding albums?
A: Yes, I offer a range of high-quality wedding albums that can be added to your package before or after the wedding. These albums are a timeless way to preserve and showcase your favorite images.
Q: How long do you stay on the wedding day?
A: My packages typically cover from bridal preparations to about an hour after the first dance, with additional coverage available upon request.
Q: Do you charge for travel?
A: Travel within the southeast is included in my packages. For other locations, additional travel fees may apply depending on the distance and timing of your booking.
Q: Do you book more than one wedding per day?
A: No, I never book more than one wedding per day to ensure I can focus entirely on your special day. Occasionally, I may book two weddings in a weekend if circumstances allow, but typically I avoid doing so to provide the best possible service.
Q: Do you visit the venue before the wedding?
A: I do not typically visit the venue before the wedding. I find that scouting on the day allows for greater creativity, as I can assess the best photo locations based on actual weather and lighting conditions. This ensures your photos are unique and personal, focusing on you rather than just the venue.
Q: Where can we see reviews and testimonials from past clients?
You can view all my reviews and testimonials throughout my website.
