Hannah & Jon’s Summer Wedding at Highley Manor, Sussex

  • “Just the best! We were so happy we chose James to catch our special day!”

“He thinks of everything and it just feels like he is part of your guest list! James captured everything we wanted and more… does everything he can to make sure he does too! And we got some super special little snapshots to keep on the day that enabled us to treasure our special day immediately! “

Hannah and Jon’s wedding at Highley Manor was one of those days that reminds you why you do this job.

The ceremony took place outside in the open shade — the kind of light photographers dream about. Soft, even, flattering, with none of the harsh midday sun that can make outdoor ceremonies tricky. The manor’s grounds gave us everything we needed: sweeping lawns, elegant architecture, and beautiful natural backdrops at every turn.

What I remember most though was the guests. The whole group had this warmth to them that made the day genuinely easy and enjoyable to photograph. When everyone around a couple is happy and relaxed, it shows in every frame.

I don’t photograph weddings in Sussex as often as Kent, but days like this one make me wonder why. Highley Manor is a genuinely beautiful venue — if you’re planning a wedding there and looking for a photographer who’ll keep things relaxed and capture the day as it really was, I’d love to chat.
