At the same time as photographing their RCF wedding, I filmed a hybrid wedding film.

After a short drive through Kent to Reach Court Farm from my home I arrived to meet Grace at St Margaret’s at Cliffe Hotel, which is located in the holiday park quite literally across the road from RCF. The “getting ready” part of a wedding day is where I focus on blending in as best as I can so people trust me throughout the wedding day….It’s much easier getting a photo of someone being emotional when they trust you. 

From there I nipped over to Reach Court Farm 15 minutes before the bridal party in order to meet the groom and capture a few quick details of inside the barn. The wedding flowed stress free until home time after the wedding evening reception, and I must say that the food menu at Reach Court Farm is OUTSTANDING! The food was sublime, and the staff are very friendly and I cannot wait to go back. Oh and beer pong at a wedding? What an idea! Joint my favourite outside activity, it’s between that and having wedding speeches outside.

    James! 10/10!
    When we saw you on Instagram, we knew that you were going to be our photographer. The way you capture such perfect, natural and candid shots was exactly what we wanted.
    The process of booking was spot on, with an easy website and you were always super quick to respond to emails, Instagram messages and WhatsApp.
    We changed our minds from just photos to hybrid and you were very accommodating and honoured this, even though you were pretty busy!
    We met for the first time virtually and you instantly made us feel comfortable and listened to as we told you we were laid back and just wanted to be in the moment as much as we could – We wanted a wedding, not a photoshoot. You asked us all the right questions and made all of the right suggestions – we instantly trusted you. We knew then that you were a cool guy and you were passionate about your role to play on our special day.
    The day arrived and so did you, whilst I was getting ready with my bridal party in the hotel room. My first thoughts were that I couldn’t believe how tall you were and also – what a great, calming smile! We chatted about our favourite rock bands and you helped ease my nerves.
    You went ahead to the venue to meet the groom and awaited my arrival.
    From the big moments to the small, you got them all…Walking down the aisle, the ceremony, confetti, group photos, the infamous beer pong, cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet, our first dance and action shots on the dance floor… plus all of the other incredibly special moments in between filled with laughter, tears, cuddles, arm wrestles and jagerbombs. You listened to us and didn’t pull us away from any of it. You also had some awesome ideas for the shots of us as Husband and Wife at sunset and they are STUNNING!
    Looking back at all of the photos and video, it’s hard to believe how well you captured every special memory and the majority of the time we didn’t even know you were there – absolute ninja! We’ve had so many guests say how incredible you were and one even said you were the best one she had seen as you were always there!
    You gave me lots of Polaroids on the day which was such a thoughtful and wholesome idea that just made the day extra special.
    We received sneak peak shots literally the next day and we were blown away with the quality, they were beautiful.
    One month later, along came the rest of the photos AND a slideshow. We relived the day all over again, remembering bits we had already forgotten. We spent all night smiling, laughing and crying as we went through every capture. Your photos told the story…*Chefs kiss*.
    The website link was so easy to use. I could favourite photos, download them and also share a link with my family and friends.
    And then… the video! What a treat. The editing, the music, everything… it was just perfect and such good quality. Considering you did that as well as taking the unreal photos, HOW?!?! You must be a wizard. Again, the technology was awesome and super user friendly, as you gave us a private link to YouTube and also the download from Google.
    AND THEN… I open the door to a delivery of a GORGEOUS box filled with prints of the photos we had favourited on our gallery, plus our USB. We are blown away! Another amazing keepsake and special touch, just like the Polaroids.
    We cannot express enough how grateful we are to you to have given us tangible memories that we can look back on for the rest of our lives. We could not have asked for anything more. The amount of photos we received was extremely valuable for the price and the video was emotional to say the least!
    James, we have been recommending you to everyone. You are an excellent communicator and your cool, calm and kind personality shines through. You’re incredibly talented with your visions and editing and your dedication was appreciated.
    TO ANYONE CONSIDERING BOOKING JAMES: DO IT! He’s the best and you will not regret it!
